The Mtv generation

Have you ever realized how much things have change in the last few years. It might be because I am getting older but I think it is more because the society as we know it is becoming more vain. When you turn on TV now a days you kind more reality shows than dramas or comedies. Why do I need to watch someones else life when I have a life of my own to live? More and more are becoming famous for being famous. In the past decades you had to do something special to be talked about in the news a Nobel Peace Prize winner a president or even an actor musician people with actual talents. In today's society if you have your daddy's money you will surly get in page six. Even the news is consumed by this invasion into people lives CNN the 24 hours news station has more news about drunkards and club goers and paparazzi than about what is really going on in this world. The last hold out has fallen I was watching the MTV news 30 second bit on MTV channel where they once traditionally had information about things going on around the world, current events they talked about a celebrity and there personal troubles. This world is going to hell in a hand backest and we are only at the beginning. OMG what is next to come.

Yup, kind of frightening to think about what kind of crap our kids are going to be fed from the media in ten years doesn't it? If I weren't such a History Channel addict, I would get rid of the damn thing altogether. HOWEVER, if you are watching the right programs, you can find newsworthy information. Personally, I really like Discovery News, but that's more like science breakthroughs and such.
